Writing pressures and family health issues have kept me uncharacteristically close to home this spring. But after a couple days in front of the computer, I typically rebel and head off to shoot something, if only for the day. Conditions yesterday were perfect : bright overcast and no rain – just what you want for photographing in the forest. So it was that I took a trail I didn't know into the Cascade mountains, just an hour from my home. I toyed with a couple of subjects and then devoted most of the morning to this little gem of a waterfall, un-named and not on any map. All in all, a good day.
