Arrive at Kimpo Airport, Seoul, then a five-hour trip by bus or train to the quaint seaside village of Sokcho. The gates of Seoraksan National Park are a few miles beyond - about twenty minutes from town by taxi.
Mount Seorak, or SeorakSan, is South Korea's premiere national park. It is said that one cannot truly experience Korea without visiting Mount Seorak and its granite pinnacles and promentories, the multitude of waterfalls and gorges, the fall colors of the deciduous forest and the bright, bold, and friendly 5000 year old culture that is evident throughout. A UNESCO Biosphere Reserve since 1982 and a jewel of Asia's natural treasures.
