It was a unusual place to find a squirrel. I was at the top most level of Golkonda Fort, a Mughal Era structure, in Hyderabad, India. I was taking photographs, mostly of architecture and landscapes. The city looked beautiful on that bright sunny afternoon. There was a small gallery on the top of fort from where I was looking at the city. Unintentionally, I looked just down the gallery, when I saw a squirrel sitting at the edge of wooden pillar, protruding out of the walls of the fort. I switched my camera to telephoto mode, and tried capturing the squirrel. But it turned out to be quite a task for a non professional like me without a tripod. Even a small shake would spoil the shot and, I would end up in trash folder. After patiently clicking for some 15 minutes, I was able to get this shot. I was quite lucky, as squirrels are quit swift and rarely stay still, but that day it stayed on the log for long enough for me to capture this shot.
