Description

Early morning, a whitetail doe crosses the Touchet River to the grass and shade of an abandoned river terrace. It's good resting habitat protected from above by the steep basalt cliffs. My tripod was set in the middle of the river and the photo was shot with a polarizing filter. It was only about a half hour wait.
