This beautifully painted lighthouse stands watch over the Bay of Fundy at one end of Campobello Island in New Brunswick, Canada. The Bay of Fundy is home to some of the worlds highest tides. They're often between 20 and 30 vertical feet in this area. East Quoddy Head Lighthouse is only accessible by foot at low tide but is well worth the effort. As well as being a favorite spot of many shore birds, whales can often be seen and heard surfacing not far off the point of land that the lighthouse sits on.
