Hiking along the coast I spotted this beautiful rock formation covered on green moss. I thought it would make a great image if the weather was right, you know, low angle light for the rocks, warm sunset colors on the clouds to juxtaposition against the cool greens. However, at the time the weather was cloudy with snow showers threatening on the horizon. I waited a few hours and just as I was getting ready to pack it all up I noticed the clouds parting away allowing the sun to shine thru. I immediately set up my tripod, grabbed my filters and set up my shot. It all happened very fast and I was only able to snap a couple images before the sun went behind the clouds. I was happy I had captured a moment like this.
