Yesterday, I wanted to go out to downtown Chicago to do some urbanscapes. As the morning did not look promising I was contemplating to change that to evening but with the sky clearing up around noon and patchy blue sky and the fluffy clouds showed up I took my wife's advice to go on a nature hike. I decided to go to Morton Arboretum even though it was a little late in the day for extensive hiking. Before this, I had been to this place only during fall or summer, but never been in the winter time. As I was walking, I was thinking how would this place have looked if we had Nemo covered us up and dumped some 3 foot of snow. Nevertheless, this partial frozen lake attracted me and with the sidelight it gave me a photo opportunity. I am not sure what the name of this lake was but it is off of Parking lot 24.
