I made this image around 4:30pm or so during late winter-early spring. The Sun had gone behind the mountains and the shade helped me get even light that is desirable to photograph waterfalls. I used a polarizer but turned it only half the way to just slightly reduce the glare on the wet rocks. The polarizer coupled with the low light helped me with a long exposure that I wanted to render the water silky. I converted it onto black and white in Photoshop as I felt the textures and the tones of the rocks were best portrayed in monochrome.
