I spotted this Yarrow at the end of this inlet on a morning's scout for the evening's workshop shoot. We had choices of rocky points, soft warm light over brush covered hills and this. While the participants lined up and photographed a beautiful sunset across a rocky point, I ran down and quickly made 6 exposures with a 3 stop hard Grad ND. I blended 2 to come up with the final image.
Hanging on the edge of the bluffs of the Estero Bay, a Golden Yarrow thrives in a rocky and windy home. The Bluffs are a geologist's dream, with strata tilting in different directions in several inlets. Fingers, cliffs, small arches, and eroded bluffs line this beautiful spot on the California Coast.
