Beaver Pond is just one of several locations within the Cuyahoga Valley National Park that I find myself returning to frequently. It is always changing. Fog is one of the great Natural textures available to create mood in an image. With the change of seasons; when Summer slowly fades into fall is when fog is abundant as the cooling air interacts with the warm earth. For me it lends a very impressionistic quality to any image. It was very early and It was one of the most beautiful experiences. A perfect fall(ish) morning. There was a damp crispness in the air and the animals that were sleeping were just beginning to wake up from their woozy nights sleep. The nighttime creatures were just settling in for their morning rest. That in-between time when all is quiet. The fog was scattered like blankets from a restless night. There was the smell of dried leaves mixed with dew and someone's wood stove burning in the distance. And all was well with the world as God painted the morning.
