This was my first glacier camp trip and I new that I would be up there during a dark week with very little to no moon. Night three was a pretty good aurora band and stepping back from camp I was able to see the Milky Way rising over the southern horizon. Temps were around -20 below with the wind chill and I was able to shoot for about an hour and a half before my battery was to cold to function.
My 6 day glacier camp at 7200' feet deep in the Chugach mountains. 10 photos stitched together looking North to the Aurora's and South to the rising Milky Way.
