I captured this image of the Fifth Water Hot Springs in Utah's Diamond Fork Canyon on September 19, 2010. It was unseasonably warm that day with temperatures in the 90's, but Autumn had already come to this part of the country, lighting up the hills in amazing color. I have nicer equipment, but interestingly, I captured this amazing image on a Polaroid point-and-shoot. I was on a family hike with my husband and then 9-month-old daughter. Carrying a fancy camera with a baby and all her gear just wasn't realistic. It just goes to show that fancy equipment isn't everything. Sometimes Nature does all the hard work and presents you with something truly stunning. That is what is great about the American landscape and keeps inspiring me to capture it with photography!
