Watercolor Mountain

This mountainside looks like a brush artist painted it with watercolors. It's almost surreal. The Yukon is potentially one of the most beautiful areas for outdoor photographers, who seek fresh images. I believe that when photographers drive to Alaska, they drive right through the Yukon, I have, without realizing the beauty around them. I kick myself why I didn't stop and work that mountainside for a day. The problem in the Yukon is accessibility. I have flown my plane up the Yukon River to Dawson, looking down with awe at the beauty, with no place to land. Today, I rather photograph the Yukon, excluding the Alaska coastal areas, than interior Alaska. It offers undiscovered fresh incredible images to the adventuresome photographer. By the way, fall color starts the third week of August.
