Mount Mckinley

This aerial was taken in late summer, after the snow on the glacier had melted, leaving the dark grooves in the ice. Even when taking aerial images, depth-of-field is important. The dark foreground mountain gives the image contrast and depth. Mount McKinley can be hard to photograph because of the weather. The day I photographed this image, it was the first day in two weeks that the mountain was visible.
