Wildcat Falls is located just west of Cascade Creek on El Portal Road. When you cross over the Cascade Creek bridge,(westbound)there will be an unpaved pullout on the right approximately .2 miles. Follow the creek a very short distance through the trees.
Take a tripod. The creek is shallow at the base of the falls allowing for shooting positions within the creek bed. I used a neutral density filter rated for 8 f stops. This gives plenty of latitude for long exposures at f5.6 to f11 with a 100 ISO. I used a 24-105mm for this photo. You may want to bring a 70-200mm or similar range lens for creative closeups.
Wildcat Falls is in a secluded location and one of the most photogenic falls in the park.
