Description

I only spent about 20 minutes shooting Mt. Edith Cavell as I wanted to get back to the vista over the Tonquin Valley just a minute up the road. I was getting amazing shots of a storm over the valley but as the sunset was progressed I could see the sunlight was creeping up the peak of Edith Cavell and I wanted to get some shots of that before it reached the top and disappeared. As I was shooting this I kept looking over my shoulder to the thick bush behind me. This location was surprisingly empty. I was the only person here shooting and the parking lot was empty. I found it kind of eerie and the water falls made enough noise to block out any sound around me. I had seen a lot of black bear cubs and their mothers in the area all week and was worried of something stumbling out of the trees behind me. Nothing did, of course and once I was sure I got the shot I raced back to shoot the rest of the sunset over the Tonquin Valley.
