Description

The most interesting attraction of the Stolowe Mountains located on the territory of the Park Narodowy Gor Stolowych (Stolowe Mountains National Park) in southwest Poland are the various types of rocky formations. One of them is called “Swiatynia Indyjska” (Indian Temple) and it is located on the top fragment of the mountains, i.e. Szczeliniec Wielki. This more than 10-metre-high rock located far from the tourist trail constitutes quite a difficult place for photographing. Numerous gaps surrounding this area and frequent strong winds occurring here make it difficult to move around. This was the case when I took photos here. It took a long time for me to find a convenient place to put my tripod and capture the raw state of this area. It was particularly hard because the sky was blue and the sunrays generated undesired shading. When fog started to establish I took a photo as planned. Exp. 1/200s, f/16, ISO 200
