From the south. I93 through Franconia Notch, NH.and look for Robert Frost Museum exit. From the North on I93, watch for the exit to Robert Frost Museum before entering Franconia Notch in NH.
This place is wonderful in every sense of the word and gorgeous images can be made in all seasons. While summer is my favorite, fall and winter are great also.Great shots of clouds hovering over the mountain range from a distance can be made. My favorite shots are in black and white. I`ve also done some fantastic panoramics there as the scenery lends itself to great panos. Best time: sunrise and late afternoon light.
From the hills of Robert Frost`s place (poet, writer, composer of Christmas songs), you can see Cannon Mountain and Mount Lafayette separated by Franconia Notch. A great place to photograph great sky and landscape leading to those mountains which are also the beginning of the Presidential Range leading to New Hampshire`s Mount Washington area.
