One of my favorite parts of visiting wild horse ranges in the summer is seeing foals. In the Pryors, each foal is given a name that corresponds to a letter, in this case Q, to help people remember the year the foal was born. Quaid is the son of Greta, and she's been a very prolific mare. Her babies usually have big stars, and they're usually a similar dark color. Their band is very wary, so it is a lot of fun to see the foals respond to humans. They also share the same curious expression as they figure out their world.
