From Denver head north on I-25 to the Highway 66 exit (exit 243)at Longmont. Take Highwayy 66 about 15 miles to Highway 36 at Lyons. Head north out of Lyons about 20 miles to Estes Park.

Notes

Though Trail Ridge Road is closed in the winter and much of the park is unaccessible, Rocky Mountain National Parks offers the photographer endless opportunities. Snow capped mountain peaks, firey sunrises and abundant wildlife makes a winter trip to R.M.N.P. is an adventure for the nature photographer. Miles of roads are maintained during the winter.
