This area is approximately 200 miles straight north (or just follow the Mississippi) of the Twin Cities.

Notes

As the state of Minnesota is systematically replacing all the old bridges throughout the state, I would expect this bridge along with it's twin, just to the right out of the photo, to soon be gone. This view on the outlet side of the river from Crooked Lake, once was where loggers during the early 1900's would begin the long journey of floating of their logs down the Prairie, eventually into the Mississippi and on down to the saw mills in the southern part of the state.

Description

Bridge on the Prairie River. This is a Photomatix Pro fusion of three exposures in order to give the photo some pop, which was taken on a cloudy gray morning with a Canon EOS 7D, Tokina 11-16 mounted on a tripod.
