The two masted schooner Opal sails close to gigantic icebergs during a blizzard east of Scoresbysund, Greenland. As photographers today search far and wide for new and unique landscapes, Greenland is rapidly becoming a popular destination. Traversing one the largest fjord systems in the world via an old sailing ship - in my case aboard the 100-yr old Donna Wood, which accompanied the Opal on this journey in September 2016, we're transported to another time when life moved much slower and was a lot less complicated. Needless to say, the opportunity for incredible photography is limitless here.
