After a long hard day of slogging around in the rain and fog at Lake Jocassee, I headed up to the top of an area known as "Jumping Off Rock" where I was pleasantly surprised to see that the entire world hadn't been engulfed in fog. It was nearing sunset and the image that played out in front of me was a magnificent one! There was a lot of cloud movement low in my foreground and the scene was disappearing before my eyes. I managed a few images before the view disappeared completely from sight. with just under 30 minutes until sunset I decided to wait it out to see if another image would manifest itself. Sure enough it did and I was able to capture this image. Sometimes all it takes is a little luck for the conditions to align perfectly.
