It was an amazing experience walking down the beaches of Hutt lagoon in Australia. The pink water in contrast to the sandy beaches gives an ethereal feeling. It is a salt lake with a pink hue due to the presence of the beta-carotene producing algae, created by the separation from the Indian ocean. The isolation and the secludedness of the lake make it more travel worthy. We could really get rid of the tourists and had the beach totally to ourselves the whole afternoon.
