This past November, I watched a Northern Harrier as it glided over a wetlands pond. I saw it drop down behind a tangle of reeds, and waited for it to reappear. Since it hadn't, I slowly approached the reeds and used them as an improvised blind. I saw the Northern Harrier had landed, and was perched on a reed mat in the middle of the pond. I focused on the bird and made several photos. When the Northern Harrier took flight, it flew right at me and this photo was made.
