Description
An rainy winter has brought a lush green to the typically dry and brown hills of California's Central Valley. As the weather warms the almond groves start to bloom and look like violet squares from a distance. The extra snow in the Sierras this winter means these trees will be getting plenty of water later into summer than they're used to. This contrast of colors is only this prominent once every few years or so. Which is why it was nice to stop and take it all in for a while.
