We drove out to the beach a few months after the great earthquake and tsunami in Japan. The beach was still covered with debris. Trees, logs, timber, shoes, fishing floats; it was covered with it. Trees that were flooded with salt water were already brown and will have to be torn down. I stood in the surf and waited for the golden hour and this was what reflected off the outgoing surf. In all the disaster a ray of light brought some beauty. Hope.
