I found this creek while bushwhacking my way back to Turquoise Lake in Colorado. I had gone off trail to photograph a couple of bald eagles and had to cut across very rugged terrain in order to get back to my starting point at the lake. I had noticed a creek feeding into the lake nearby and when I heard the rushing water I headed towards the sound. Broken down trees and very slippery rocks made for slow going but the remote creek was stunningly beautiful. I ended up camping for a week at the nearby lake and hiked every day along this creek into - what felt like - the Middle of Nowhere without ever meeting or seeing another person. This particular image was taken at an altitude of about 10,400 ft.
