On a June afternoon I spotted a cow moose with her calf laying down comfortably resting. After I waited a while the mother got up and started to move on along the forest edge, however the calf wasn't ready yet and delayed. When its mother was about 20 yards away the calf got up and started running to catch up.
As I photographed the calf on the run it all of a sudden disappeared from my view because it fell into a large hole with water in it. It quickly worked its way out and then did a big shake before proceeding to catch up to its mother.
