Inherent in virtually all birds, is the ability to navigate through a cluttered environment at high speed during flight. I spotted this mature Bald Eagle in a location which was not in one of it’s usual roosting areas. Even after watching the mating pair for years, every visit to the nesting site brought new opportunities to photograph them. Having to move my equipment to get a better POV was difficult, but well worth the effort! Having taken many photos of the bird while it was perched on the outer branches of a pine tree, it finally took off, and I was able to capture this photo of it during flight.
