Description
When I went to this American Bald Eagle nesting site, I was hoping to capture some photos of the mating pair perched on a branch together. Seeing only one bird, I had no idea which gender it was. After taking quite a few photos of the one which I did see, I was about to make it a day. It was quite cold, and standing on a solid cover of frozen snow for a long period of time didn't help matters any. Suddenly, the mate appeared, and I found out which was which when it immediately took a position above the other one. My shutter clicked repeatedly as I watched this special moment unfold. This could have been the time that the two siblings in my recent gallery submissions were conceived. What a thrilling sight! One which I will never forget!
