In September 2020 the earliest recorded snowstorm ever had dumped 18 inches of snow in Colorado’s Wet Mountain Valley in a matter of hours. The blizzard took everyone by surprise, including this antelope. Usually very cautious and ready to take off instantly with up to 60 mph across the flat valley floor, this big guy couldn’t care less about my presence. He simply strutted in zigzag pattern all over the wide open range - probably wondering where all of the cold white stuff suddenly came from...
