Colorado Highway 50, about 40 miles West of Gunnison.
While driving through a canyon in Colorado recently, I happened twist my neck to look up the steep canyon wall to the left - and simply had to pull over and take this panorama (seven single shots, side-by-side, merged in Lightroom). Way up on top of the wall were single aspens - they usually prefer to grow in dense groves - perfectly spaced out in a long line over the entire length of the rocky ridge. Like guards, keeping watch over the landscape. The golden leaves illuminated against the deep blue, high altitude sky. Is this what it looks like when aspens execute "Social Distancing"...?
