North on hwy 61 up the coast of Lake Superior to the Grand Portage resort
Myself and two other photographers decided to hit the north shore of Lake Superior during winter storm Ezekial. We started at the Canadian border and worked our way down to our home base in Two Harbors, MN. As the front end of the storm kicked in, we stopped at Hollow Rock in Grand Portage. The conditions were rough but we were to spend about an hour shooting different angles of the rock. I found this nice opening in the shoreline rocks and was able to get what turned out to be my favorite shot of the trip. Sony A7r3, Canon 16-35mm F4 with a sigma converter @F11, ISO 100, 1/6 exposure. I also used a Haida 3 stop grad nd filter to balance out the sky and foreground.
