As I approached a wetlands pond, I noticed a Pied Grebe diving and resurfacing. As I got into position to photograph the Grebe, it dove back under the water. It wasn't unusual behavior since Grebes spend half their lives underwater. I knew I would have to wait for it to resurface and be prepared to capture the shot when it did. Lucky for both the Grebe and myself, the Grebe resurfaced with a crayfish, and I captured the photo I wanted when it did.
