The Arashiyama Bamboo Forest, perhaps one of the most photographed locations in Japan. The single most challenging thing about shooting in popular places is working around the crowd while trying to not to bother anyone.
I got there, a good hour and a half before sunrise, (because, who needs sleep, right?) and managed to find the place all to myself. My lovely wife agreed to model for me yet again, and I managed to grab a few good shots before the crowd began to roll in. I also made a few new friends as they joined me in the shoot, and took advantage of the perfectly composed scene with my wife modelling for all of us by the end of it.
