An American Bald Eagle preparing for takeoff. About one year after going through cancer surgery, my main source of therapy was to go outdoors to try and expand and improve on my photography skills. Discovering that there were American Bald Eagles in my immediate area gave me the opportunity to do so, and thus began a journey (lasting many years) of trying to capture these magnificent birds of prey in their environment. Purchasing better equipment was expensive, but a must! The quest was challenging to say the least, but a lot was learned along the way by the many mistakes made. I don't go out much any more, but am reminded of my many efforts to do so by the photographs which I had taken while on that journey. Take the journey with me! I hope that you enjoy it!
