Just a little over 2 months after the photo from one of my last submissions was taken, the same pair of sibling American Bald Eagles display a different kind of demeanor, and an apparent change in size. The story behind this scene is that the "youngster" on the right apparently lost control while trying to fly, and landed on some branches quite a ways down below the nesting sight. Meanwhile, the parent brought some food into the nest which was only available to the other. Squawking and squawking throughout, hunger got the best of it, and it began to traverse the branches from side to side, making a final leap from just below the nest. What you see in the photo is what followed. An all out assault on it's sibling, as though it was the one to blame for it's misfortune!
