Description
One evening while photographing the beauty of the setting sun on the north east face of Mount Rainier, I noticed Mount Adams, just a mere 50 miles southeast, and extending over 12 thousand feet into the atmosphere. Adams northwest face was catching the setting sun in the twilight of the evening. I was able to reposition my camera, fired off several frames, and within minutes the illumination was gone. The Cascade Range in the Pacific Northwest offers some amazing opportunities for photographing mountains, it's one of a very few ranges where the individual peaks stand alone, unencumbered by lessor peaks.
