Once you hear the cicada's distinct song you will never forget it and will recognize it as soon as you hear it. I first heard the cicada's music when I was a kid and the buzzing its just as beautiful now as it was back then. I was on my way to Adobe valley to photograph the wild mustangs when I decided to stop by a cluster of trees and enjoy the north view of Glass Mountain. I opened the door and my ears were instantly filled with that high-pitched buzzing. I heard a buzzing coming from different spots all over the tree and soon enough, I spotted a kew-wah bug (Paiute word for cicada). Had my 55-250mm lens mounted and I clocked off a few exposures. Even though I got a few action photos of the mustangs these cicadas were the highlight of my trip. I hopeful I will see more of them at the lower elevations.
