An American Bald Eagle at rest. Setting up, and then having to move my equipment to another location, is something which sometimes needs to be done, regardless of how heavy it is. This was one of those occasions, as the bird was at a distance on the other side of the creek, somewhat hidden among the thick line of trees along the bank. Taking down my gear, I drove to the other side of the creek. The road stopped at a guardrail, and I had to walk down the trail about 100 ft. with my equipment to see if I could find the bird without scaring it off. Having finally done so, it was still difficult to see it in it's entirety without some maneuvering.
