A late summer trip to Yosemite netted me this photo of tourists next to Vernal Falls. During the late summer, Vernal falls isn't that spectacular with water flow but that just makes getting closer to the falls is less risky. I got plenty of photos that froze the falling water but for this photo, I wanted to capture more movement in the falling water. With hiking with my young two nieces, I choose to leave the tripod in the car and carry extra water. So I braced myself against the railing, took a deep breath, and hit the shutter hoping to capture enough movement in the water without blurring the tourists. I was elated to see that I had actually captured what I had envisioned. The only problem was that these tourists took off before I could offer to send them the photo. When I look at this photo I am happy that I got it but sad that I couldn't share it with these tourists.
