Description
Along with various skippers, monarchs, and swallowtail butterflies, the red admiral is a frequent and favorite visitor to the Tabor-Robinson Pollinator Garden and Sanctuary. It is difficult to predict when in the season a red admiral will visit. Whenever they do visit, their bold color attracts and commands our attention. This image was captured as the red admiral sought nectar while perched on the contrasting white flowers (panicles) of a hydrangea.
