Description
Curiosity got the better of these two American Bald Eagle babies (with their heads showing to either side of the pine tree), as to check on their visitor (me) below their nesting site. The parents had to find a new site, as the existing nest across the creek was felled by strong winds. Luckily, if you want to call it that, the new nest was constructed even closer to where the photographers stood while taking photos of the family at the other nest. Although it was closer, and practically overhead to us, the new location posed an issue with not only more branches in the way of taking photos, electrical and telephone lines were now also in the way as well. I walked away disappointed many times from my day's outing due to these encumbrances. I didn't give up, as each day going forward provided for opportunities for captures of the adult mating pair (both still and in flight), as to compensate for the loss of getting clear shots of the two babies. Although I did manage some photos, it wasn't what I had hoped for.
