Brief Directions
From Livingston on I90, take US89 to Gardiner and then to the entry gate to Yellowstone. A short distance after you leave the entry gate you make a right turn on the new road which replaces the road that was washed out in June. This new road runs along a mountain side for about 5 1/2 miles to Mammoth Village. From there you take the road to Lamar Valley.
Description
This Ram was way up on a steep slope a good distance from where I was taking this shot. I was using a Nikkor 200-500mm lens with a 1.4 Teleconverter which gave me a focal length of 700mm.
