El Capitan and the Merced River

When I was making my choice of where in Yosemite valley I wanted to try to capture a good sunset scene I thought about shooting El Capitan from the famous vista location, the Valley view because I knew that the Merced river would make for a great leading line and there was a very good chance that I would get some fog on the river since the air was warmer that the river water probably was. When I got there, I was right and then I settled into a good spot that gave me the view of El Capitan and a good view of the river with the foggy mist rising from it. Getting an added bonus of a few clouds strategically position above the mountains made for a nice added touch as well.
