Hoanib Skeleton Coast, Namibia. The winds picked up at noon, and caused sand storms all afternoon. Just at sunset, the wind ceased suddenly and in the last light of day, I captured this haunting photo of a lone giraffe in the dreamscape known as Namibia. Nikon D810. Exposure: 1/500 sec at f/8.0.

I have been a landscape photographer since 1975, capturing natural landscapes worldwide in such inspiring locales as New Zealand, Iceland, Africa, Patagonia, China, and many national parks in North America.

I have been featured in juried art shows in Palos Verdes, California, where I live. Twice I have won the Grand Prize at the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy Photo Contest.
