Pulitzer Prize winning photojournalist and filmmaker Deanne Fitzmaurice had an unexpected photo opportunity while leading a photography tour in Morocco in March 2015. “We were driving through the countryside and came across these goats in a tree,” she explained. “I expect to see birds and squirrels in trees, but not goats. I learned that these argan trees only grow in Morocco and the nuts produce what’s known as Moroccan Oil, a popular skin and hair product. Apparently Moroccan goats go nuts for this oil. I must say it was one of the most surreal things I’ve seen.” To see more of Deanne Fitzmaurice’s work, visit www.deannefitzmaurice.com and follow her on Instagram @deannefitzmaurice.
