I spent Memorial Day at the National Cemetary at Indiantown gap Military reservation a few years ago. It was a long, hot, extremely emotional day. I think i took more photos with other peoples cameras and cell phones than my camera. Whenever i saw someone taking photos of family of friends i offered to let them get in the photo and took a shot on their camera. i ahve never been hugged so muc in one day than that day. Sometimes with big smiles, sometimes tears of gratutude. As I was walking to my car as the sun was setting I saw a family sitting around a grave. This little girl got up and started walking amogst the tombstones, then running and laughing and I could "feel" the smiles on the faces of those who were around me and my own as I took this image. I turned and confirmed everybody smiling and the mood of the day had changed and the healing had begun.
