North of Jackson, Wyoming about half and hour on the road to Yellowstone. It is located inside Grand Teton National Park.
This is a popular iconic location for photographers. I grew up in Jackson Hole in the 1960's and 1970's and went by this location many times as a kid. There were rarely any photographers there then. Times have changed with the popularity of digital photography! Now there is often a crowd. It is always interesting to see the large numbers of very good images that are produced at this amazing location! I was very happy the geese showed up for me.
A very cold early October morning at Oxbow Bend in Grand Teton National Park. The weather forecast was for overcast and snow, but fortunately that didn't happen until later in the morning. Oxbow Bend is an old channel of the Snake River.
